What is Google Wave?
Google continues it’s bid for dominating every aspect of our online experience, by announcing a new service, Google Wave.
Due to arrive later this year, Google Wave looks set to reinvent the way we communicate with each other online. It is a new kind of collaboration tool, which allows several people to create and join a “Wave” and communicate and exchange ideas and files in real time.
Whatever one user is contributing to the Wave, the other(s) will see happen on their screens. This could be typing a message, adding images, or performing web searches.
All activity is archived and can be replayed, and Waves can either be set to public, or private.
I have yet to try it out myself but Google Wave certainly sound like an interesting idea. We will have to wait and see if it does truly revolutionise the way we communicate.
